I Used to Have Cancer!

Every day, when I take my "used to have cancer" meds, I'm reminded that I used to have cancer! (CML Leukemia)  My doctor says it's basically gone, but it'll come back if I don't take a super-expensive little white pill every day.  (I know, I know - you think it's a big pharmaceutical company CONSPIRACY...!)  For now, I'm just grateful that I'm in remission!

There are some side effects of the medication, so sometimes I quietly wish I could "time travel" back a few years.  But other times I think "Man!  I've got to stay in pretty-good physical condition so I can dance and sing with kids and families!"

On the other side, the Bible warns us not to become fitness fanatics: "For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come."

What's your motivation for staying in pretty-good physical shape?  Do you remember that your body is God's? (1 Cor. 7:23)
